Hello
I am now using Windows 7 32 bit PC, motherboard had a build in Parallel, I will explain what results I am getting from this setup, the 3 volts light emitting diode is plug in the LPT port the plus leg in pin hole D0 the negative leg in pin hole 18, I switch on PC the 3 volt light come on, then went off during booting, then come on again and stay on during booting onto desktop.
I then type CD\lpt enter then lptout 0 the light stay on, I then type lptout 2 the light now go off
I then type lptout 255 it still stay off. I then try lptout1 it remain off,
I then power down the PC the light then come back on and stay on until the PC complete the circle the tutorial say type lptout 0 to turn off , but this does not happen, lptout 2 does, therefore at this point I am unable to turn ON/OFF this setup.
Question, did anyone really get this to work, none of the command in the tutorial work
LPTOUT 2 not mention, I do hope someone can advice me on this, I love to get it going, so please your help
Thank you

it is so easy, just make sure to connect the L.E.D the right way

lptout 0
Set all LPT pins from ((( 2 to 9))) to OFF

don't forget D0 is pin 2 - D7 is pin 9
Image
and don't forget to put the correct values

1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128

for example :
set pin 2 and pin 3 and pin 4 to all ON
7 is the sum of 3 pin values which are 1+2+4

here is how to connect the L.E.D to pin 2 known as D0

Hint: make sure that the printer port is configured correctly and is working fine , to do that make sure that it is enabled from Bios and is configured as " ECP Mode"
